GCC Arranged Blood Grouping Program at Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing (GCCN)
On April 16, 2019 – GCC arranged two separate blood grouping campaigns at Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing (GCCN) under GramHealth: Virtual Blood Bank program. On February 18, 2019, GCC organized first program for the students of Diploma Nursing of GCCN and during this program blood grouping of a total of 72 students were completed. The second program organized on March 21, 2019 and blood grouping was done for a total of 44 B.Sc Nursing students of GCCN. The purpose of the campaign was to create awareness among the participants about blood donations and the importance of knowing own blood group.
All the participants have been checked up with their Blood Group and provided with a Blood Group Identification card which can be used for further reference. The program was led by Md. Rahat Hossain (Program Officer, GCC) with the assistance of a well-trained health team of GCC.
GCCN management expressed their intense satisfaction to GCC for the role performed in this program.
