On May 8, 2019 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Grameen Communications and 3S Corporation at Yunus Centre of Grameen Complex under GramClean Project of Global Communication Center (GCC). The program was organized by GCC and it was headed by Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chairman of Grameen Communications. It was held during 1^st Grameen-Sunpower Social Business Startup Tour-2019 and the guest participants of this program also attended the MoU signing ceremony.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Nazneen Sultana, Managing Director of Grameen Communications and Mr. Yota Maruoka, Chief Executive Officer of 3S Corporation, Japan. The objective of the program is to create recycle and waste management business dedicating to the goal of “Social Business” with an aim to serve particularly rural and disadvantaged people in Bangladesh.

At the end of the program, both parties expressed their satisfaction on new Joint Venture (JV) and expressed high hopes in solving social problems through this JV both for Bangladesh & Japan.
