December 9, 2015 – Global Communication Center (GCC) has a meeting with Euglena Co. Ltd. today at their office in Grameen Bank Bhaban, Mirpur, Dhaka. Mr. Yukoh Satake (Co-CEO) and Mr. Akhiruzzaman (Head, Dhaka Office) participated in this meeting from Euglena and Dr. Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Consultant) participated from GCC. The meeting has decided that GCC will conduct a research to evaluate the impact of the Euglena biscuits to the health status of children. This is to mention that Euglena has been working for the improvement of the nutrition level of poor students under its GENKI project by providing Euglena biscuits especially in some slum areas in Dhaka. At present, they are feeding Euglena biscuits as school tiffin to 4,000 primary students each day. Dr. Forhad Monjur, Associate Professor of ICH and Shishu Sasthya Foundation Hospital, Mirpur, Dhaka was also present and he will support this research as an Investigator with GCC.
