January 20, 2016 – A team consisting of three members from Japan Environment PLANing. Co.,ltd. (JEPLAN), led by their COO, Mr. Masaki Takao has visited Bangladesh. During their visit through January 17 – 20, 2016 they had several meeting with potential partners and carried out the research activities on GramClean project of Global Communication Center (GCC) of Grameen Communications. They also investigate the opportunity of Electronic Waste recycle business in the manner of social business model in Bangladesh. Ms. Nazneen Sultana (Managing Director, GC) and Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Consultant, GCC) welcomed them to the office. The program commenced with a meeting with GC and GCC officials. A short presentation also held to present the recent activities of GramClean project of GCC.

On the following consecutive day, they had meeting with Dhaka City Corporation, Grameen Telecome Trust, Ministry of Environment & Forest, computer and mobile servicing shop.

GCC and JEPLAN look forward to undertake the further joint project in Bangladesh in the manner of long-time collaborative business and technical relationship, which may consider to avail technical and financial resources.
