INU Workshop on ‘Patient Safety and Quality Care’ held in Japan

August 22, 2017 – A team consisting of 4 members from GCC attended an international workshop titled ‘Global Perspective of Patient Safety and Quality Care’ held at Hiroshima University, Japan during 4 – 12 August 2017. The workshop was organized by the International Network of Universities (INU), a global platform of universities working on various development issues, and hosted by the Hiroshima University as a INU member. Four GCC members led by Mr. Rajib Chowdhury represented Bangladesh in that workshop among other participants from USA, UK, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Egypt and Japan.

In the workshop, different issues relating to better healthcare service and quality care were discussed and some models were demonstrated. The participants got opportunity to know best practices of each participating country. Besides attending the workshop, GCC team also participated in the program of Kyushu University in Fukuoka in which Portable Health Clinic (PHC) was presented. The lessons learnt from the workshop and visit to different Japanese hospitals have made GCC healthcare team well-equipped which would be deployed to provide better healthcare service in Bangladesh.
