চট্টগ্রামে ভিবিবি’র ব্লাড গ্রুপিং ক্যাম্পেইন সম্পন্ন
September 25, 2014 – The two-week long Blood Grouping Campaign of GramHealth Virtual Blood Bank has been completed at Boalkhali, Chittagong. The program took place through September 13 – 25, 2014 and was organized by Global Communication Center, Bangladesh in collaboration with Earth Identity Project, Japan. Several educational institutions including Kandhurkhil United Muslim High School, Boalkhali Sirajul Islam Degree College and Gomdandi Pilot High School under the Boalkhali Upazila have been covered under the program.
A total of 4,256 students has been checked up with their blood group and provided with a blood group identification card which can be used for future reference.
Mr. Moin Uddin Khan Badal (Member of Parliament, Chittagong-8) had visited the program on September 24. He wanted to know about different aspects of the initiative and expressed a great appreciation for the program, as he expects to have such program in his area again in near future. The principals, headmasters and teachers of all the educational institutions, as well as, few of the local political leaders also participated in the program and provided their benevolent support throughout the occasion. The program was led by Ms. Faria Haque (Program Officer, GCC) with the assistance of a well-trained team.
Virtual Blood Bank is a project of Global Communication Center, Grameen Communications (Bangladesh) in collaboration with the Earth Identity Project (Japan) which is a web-based platform serving as a storage of blood donors’ information while connecting the blood donors with the blood receivers by constructing the location map of the prospective donors.
