August 13 (Sun), 2017 – GCC connected a group of secondary students of Bangladesh and Japan through the International Students’ Interactive Program (ISIP) with the joint collaboration of Kyushu University, Japan. Under this program, a total of 20 students, 9 from Bangladesh and 11 from Japan, attended the event through video conferencing. The students from both countries introduced themselves and then presented their respective country by a PPT presentation followed by a lively Q&A session. Through this program, the young students got the opportunity to interact with the people of same age from the other country and know the norms & culture of each other.
Before the interactive session, the students from both side participated in separate training on the GramHealth: Portable Health Clinic (PHC) system to be aware of the latest ICT based healthcare systems. In this hands on training, every student role played either as a patient or a nurse or a doctor and experiences the service delivery process by their own. Later, the students were also trained how to prepare a PowerPoint presentation and they prepared their presentation on their respective country. At the end of the program, the participants from Bangladesh side were given certificate by Ms. Nazneen Sultana, the Managing Director of Grameen Communications.
