November 22, 2015 – Global Communication Center (GCC) of Grmeen Communications and the nonprofit organization, Kalikapur Doridro Kalyan Songsthya (KDKS) respectively represented by Ms. Nazneen Sultana (Managing Director, Grameen Communications) and Mr. Mahiuddin Ahmed (Executive Director, KDKS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to provide healthcare services at four service sites under Habiganj District under the brand name of “GramHealth”. Dr. Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Consultant), Ms. Jessica Gomez (Business Development Officer) and Mr. Ali Noor (Assistant Coordinator) were also present from GCC during the event. Under this agreement, the inhabitants of Bagasura Union in Madhabpur Upazila, Poil Union in Habiganj Sadar Upazila, Kurshi Union in Nabiganj Upazila and Dakshin-Paschim Baniyachang Union in Baniyachang Upazila under Habiganj District will be able to get the basic health checkup services of GramHealth Portable Health Clinic along with doctors’ consultancy through advance telemedicine in their neighborhood whenever they want. The telemedicine services will be supported by GCC. The service will gradually expand to entire Sylhet division.

A tentative schedule to hold the training program of the Health Checkup Service Delivery team comprising of Health Assistants and ICT Assistants is December 06 – 10, 2015 who will deliver the Portable Health Clinic Services to the rural communities. The participants will be given hands on training on using the health checkup devices of the Portable Health Box and the modules of GramHealth System. GCC looks forward to the successful launching of the program.
