November 24, 2015 – The Demand Responsive Transportation Service (DRT) of GramCar has kicked off today with a brief inauguration ceremony at Grameen Bank premises. Ms. Nazneen Sultana (Managing Director, Grameen Communications) has inaugurated the journey of the Service Car by cutting ribbon along with all the project members. The clients of the service will receive transportation service (i.e. office pickup, drop-off) according to their requirement through this service. Besides, they will be able to enjoy accessing internet through the laptop and tab installed inside the car, they can take print outs, photocopy and scanned copies of any of their documents on the go.

Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Consultant), Mr. Zahidul Hossein Ripon (System Analyst), Mr. Rajib Chakrabarty (Sr. Business Development & Operation Officer) and the other members working with the program were also present during the ceremony. The service aims to provide comfortable and efficient transportation service considering the traffic condition of metropolitans like Dhaka City. This is a service under the urban program of GramCar: Social Services on Wheels’ project of GCC.
