April 21, 2016 – Four International Interns from the Yunus Centre consisting of Ms. Olivia Descheemaeker (University College of Maastricht, Belgium), Ms. Abdul Aziz Martini (University of Malaya, Malaya), Ms. Antonia Tourinho Rocha (Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, Brazil) and Mr. Atef M Ahmed (Sunbeams School, Bangladesh) along with Md. Kamrul Islam (Coordinator, Internship and Immersion Program of Yunus Centre) has visited Global Communication Center (GCC) of Grameen Communications at Grameen Bank Complex, Mirpur, Dhaka. They were welcomed by Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Director, GCC) and then Jessica Gomes (Business Development Associate) introduced the activities of GCC by a PowerPoint presentation. The young interns from various countries liked the research projects and appreciated the innovative ideas. Finally, they showed their keen interest specially in participating in the Int’l Research Opportunity Program (IROP) of GCC in future and take the opportunity to research on the rural livelihood in a developing country like Bangladesh.
