MoU Signed between Dr. Md. Atiar Haque and GCC
April 26, 2016 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held between Dr. Md. Atiar Haque, Dept. of Pediatrics, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and Global Communication Center of Grameen Communications in order to provide healthcare service under the brand name of “GramHealth” in Bastali Union of Rampal Upazila under Bagerhat District. The MoU was signed by Ms. Nazneen Sultana (Managing Director, Grameen Communications) and Dr. Atiar from the respective sides. In the signing ceremony, Dr. Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Director, GCC) and other GCC members were also present. According to the MoU, the inhabitants of Bastali Union of Rampal Upazila will be able to get the basic healthcare services any time during 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM using GramHealth: Portable Health Clinic system along with doctors’ consultancy through advance telemedicine directly from GCC’s doctor call center of Dhaka. Besides, Dr. Atiar will also be able to provide direct consultancy by himself to his village patients in Bastali through this GramHealth system from his home or office whenever he is available. The aforesaid operational area may expand by mutual consultation between the parties.
GCC welcome any doctor for registering with GramHealth service who provides or plans to provide similar healthcare service to their villages on regular basis but cannot visit physically every time. For detail, please contact ghealth@gramweb.net.
