September 23, 2016 GCC has completed the first phase of baseline survey of GramClean project in East Ekhlaspur & Jahirabad union under Chandpur district. A total of 300 households of the unions have participated in the survey. Interviews have been conducted through September 19 – 22, 2016. The purpose of the survey was to know about social status & perception about the waste situation of those particular areas. Six student researchers from the University of Dhaka have participated in four days survey program. They have been working under the supervision of GCC officials.

This is to mention here that GCC has been conducting a pilot program of GramClean project in Ekhlaspur, Chandpur since February, 2016 in collaboration with Global Change Makers Program (GCMP) of Japan. Moreover, there is a plan to commence commercial operation after completion of the pilot program.
