Inauguration of the Tele-Pathological-Laboratory at Grameen GC Eye Hospital in Barishal

April 13, 2017 – The Tele-Pathological Test Service has been kicked off at Grameen GC Eye Hospital in Barishal. This TelePath service system is developed by Global Communication Center (GCC) with the support of Grameen Healthcare Services Ltd. (GHS). Among others, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr Mozaharul Islam (Consultant) and Md Mahafizur Rahman (Manager In-Charge) of Grameen GC Eye Hospital. From GCC Jiaur Rahman (Program Assistant, Healthcare) was present on this occasion. The objective of this TelePath system is to develop a specialized online tele-pathological laboratory system for providing authentic pathological report by the support of a specialized remote pathologist. This service has already been started in GHS’s Grameen GC Eye Hospital, Bogra, Grameen Eye Hospital, Thakurgaon and Grameen Kalyan’s Madhobpur Sastho Kendro, Manikganj.

Before inauguration of the TelePath service, GCC had organized a 5-days training program to the Laboratory Technicians of the Grameen GC Eye Hospital who are now providing this service in the hospital.
