MoU Signed between Euglena Co., Ltd. and Global Communication Center
January 10, 2016 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Euglena Co., Ltd of Japan and Global Communication Center of Grameen Communications in order to work jointly in a Health research program to examine the effectiveness of Euglena GENKI Program. This program offers Euglena Nutrition Biscuits among the slam children to reduce the malnutrition problem. The objective of this joint health checkup program is to identify the impact of Euglena Biscuit feeding to the health status of the different school children of slam areas in Dhaka. This joint collaboration program is going to be started from the beginning of February 2016 and it will continue for one year.
Mr. Md. Hasibul Hasan (General Manager, Grameen Communications) and Dr. Mohammad Akharuzzaman (Head, Dhaka Office) have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam Maruf (Consultant, GCC) was also seen among others on this event.

Euglena Company and Global Communication Centre deserves congratulations for their pathbreaking work regarding mitigating the nutritional needs of the poor children of Bangladesh. Similar programmes may also be considered for poverty and malnutritioned population of India. Japan with its innovative expertise has truly turned the humble euglena to one of mankinds’ greatest needs.
It be be interesting to receive some materials on the subject. I am an academically trained economist recently retired as director in the Central Govt of India.
