January 15, 2015 – The five-day long Blood Grouping Campaign of GramHealth Virtual Blood Bank has been completed at Moonlight Garments Ltd. located at Tongi, Gazipur. The program took place through January 11 – 15, 2015 and was organized by Global Communication Center, Bangladesh in collaboration with Earth Identity Project, Japan. About 2,500 employees working in the factory compound have been covered under this program.

All the participants have been checked up with their blood group and provided with a blood group identification card which can be used for future reference.

The officials from Moonlight Garments have provided their benevolent support throughout the program. The program was led by Ms. Faria Haque (Program Officer, GCC) with the assistance of a well-trained team.
Virtual Blood Bank is a project of Global Communication Center, Grameen Communications (Bangladesh) in collaboration with the Earth Identity Project (Japan) which is a web-based platform serving as a storage of blood donors’ information while connecting the blood donors with the blood receivers by constructing the location map of the prospective donors.
