The joint venture has been an outcome of GCC&#8217;s International Research Opportunity Program (IROP), under which a team of young Japanese CEOs visited Bangladesh in May 2017 to study automobile recondition parts market and possible joint venture opportunity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia;\">From the very beginning, GCC coordinated the visit, arranged for visiting different places and meeting relevant individuals and companies. The visiting team also met Prof. Muhammad Yunus to get his insightful direction on the joint venture formation in automobile sector on social business philosophy. Through two months&#8217; long discussion among the concerned parties, the joint venture has been formed and duly signed by Ashraful Hassan, Managing Director of Grameen Distribution Limited and Takuya Kawamura, President of Sunpower Corp.
