August 15, 2014 – The Blood Grouping Campaign of GramHealth Virtual Blood Bank has been held at the production unit of Grameen Knitwear Ltd. through August 11 – 14, 2014. A total of 1,212 employees of the organization has been checked up with their blood group and provided with a temporary blood group identification card. The production unit of Grameen Knitwear Ltd. is located at Dhaka Export Processing Zone (Ext-II), Savar, Dhaka.

The program was led by Ms. Faria Haque with the assistance of a well-trained team. All the participants will be provided with a permanent blood group identification card with picture which can be used for future reference. Global Communication Center was at the overall organization of the program.

Virtual Blood Bank is a project of Global Communication Center, Grameen Communications which is a web-based platform serving as a storage of blood donors’ information while connecting the blood donors with the blood receivers by constructing the location map of the prospective donors.
